What movies do u think provide the most knowledge about where to go, what to do, and how to survive? I am going to watch the most popular movies posted by you all, so post your ideas even if it has already been said. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

None of them!!!! The only thing that will provide you with workable knowledge is real world training, practice, and experience.

Ya that's true, but then again you do learn things from the movies, and u can take small parts of what they do right and use that towards surviving. Do you find this valuable?

The best thing I would suggest is to join the military, get trained in a special ops discipline. (all paid for by someone else, and you would get a paycheck also)

That way you can get training, experience, and a paycheck,

While military experience is very valuable, you don't have to join the military to learn the basic things that you seem to be looking for. And that isn't always in the cards for some people. Movies aren't going to do much for you though. If you want to learn something from an entertainment medium, read books instead.

That is the book list. Some are more useful than others, but most are going to be more helpful than taking notes while watching Zombieland.

I agree with the others. Don't look to learn anything from movies. Read some books, read the Survival guides here, take some courses. No matter what medium, you have to actually go into the field (or at least the back porch, or kitchen) and try to do the stuff your self.

I will, however, diverge from the others and say this. YouTubes are nice to give you a basis for further investigation. Movies are only good for inspirations.

Brain Dead/Dead Alive. Low mowers with metal blades + zombies= Blood bath lol.

In all reality I probably haven't seen to many films that I'd recommend for such things.

Movies are more useful to approach after you've learned some information on the topic. You spot flaws in the movie plot, as well as your own ideas and it helps you learn. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

That's understandable.

I think the biggest mistake nearly every person in every zombie film makes is being overly confrontational.
That's to say; at least one person in the group feels the need to go out and pick a fight. Whether it be with zombies or with their group.
