E-Tool or garden trowel?

I recently got this "E-Tool"

http://tinyurl.com/77devqx

At US$6 I wasn't expecting much, but what the heck give it a try. As an E-Tool I was severely disappointed. The shovel blade being 3" wide and 4" long is not much more than a garden trowel. The pick part is what attracted me and really is the tools only redeeming value. The shovel blade has serrations that are supposed to be for cutting roots, but I probably would never consider using it for such. As an E-Tool this product fails. As a breakdown/folding mattock it rocks, err, maybe it only pebbles.

A full size mattock ( http://tinyurl.com/6shm9qm ) is an awesome digging tool. However, they are way too big for packing. So this disappointment of an E-tool, is not a waste of money entirely. If my pack gets too heavy, this is a quick 15.6 oz to get rid of.
Do you find this valuable?
