I don't know if I like this or not. Very cool design wise...but for a zombie, if you're able to hit head shots, it seems like a waste of ammo. Not to mention the combined recoil of 2 rounds of .45 per trigger pull seems like it would be more of a hamper than anything. Also, if you have small girly hands, the grip might be a little big. It really reminds me of that double barrel desert eagle in the Green Hornet movie. I'll probably just wait to see if the range ever picks one up. It'd be a fun rental.

Does it have 2 slides? Looked like only one to me. The text seems to indicate that it fires both chambers at the same time.Do you find this valuable? |

It's definitely a single slide, but what happens if one side stovepipes or double feeds and the other does not? It would not be able to feed a fresh cartridge into the other side if one side were stopped, so for any kind of jam you'd almost have to take the magazine out and do a full administrative clear, effectively dropping the "gun" out of the fight, even if only temporarily. TRB probably wouldn't work.Edit: Clarification Do you find this valuable? |

"It's definitely a single slide, but what happens if one side stovepipes or double feeds and the other does not?"I would assume that both sides would fail to cycle. Do you find this valuable? |

Hmm, actually, if you got a stove pipe or failure to extract on one side, if you did a Tap Rack Bang, you *could* cause a double feed on the other side. The extractor on the un-stopped side hasn't engaged on the fresh cartridge it's already started to strip off from the mag, but a re-rack would start stripping a new round. Double feed jam then!

Cool gun.Costly, impractical, difficult to repair, and pisses away ammo like it's going out of style. But cool. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Interesting...but impractical. One thing I haven't heard is, that if one round fails to fire, it would make sense that the recoil wouldn't be enough to cycle the next round. This combined system means twice as many parts to fail.

Yeah I saw this a few weeks ago...It allows you to miss your target twice as often with each pull of the trigger! So you can feel twice as bad when you miss. However on the bright side, you will only waste twice as much ammo, and it will only cost you twice as much for each time you pull the trigger. @Carnack, But think of it Carnack, just how manly that would be to be able to dual weild dual weilding .45's Dual weilding squared.....you could feel twice as tough, twice as tough! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I've often thought the 'best' shtf handgun would be the Medusa revolver due to all the different calibers it can handle. I'm not experienced with firearms though so it may just be a cool gimmick like this dual 45.

Haha I saw this awhile ago on the Firearm Blog, cool, but not very well suited for SHTF

You know what would be an awesome SHTF gun? One barrel in 9mm, .40, .45ACP and .22lr in an O/U platform with a caliber selector switch or maybe just a SXS in.22lr with 20 round clips for both barrels.Do you find this valuable? |
