"An XDm takes about 5 minutes to clean like a Glock, so that doesn't surprise me that you did it in about 30 minutes for both weapons. Do you have the XDm in 9mm or .40 ManCub?-_- I have none of the above. I have an XDm 4.5 in .45ACP In God I trust...and a .45 caliber handgun. Do you find this valuable? |

"My opinion can't actually be wrong because its my personal opinion. I don't own a .22lr because I believe its a sorry excuse for a rifle. Yes, it will still kill a man and yes it can still take down game, but there are a whole host of weapons that accomplish those same goals with much more consistency and efficiency. Great as a training weapon (M&P 22 for example) or plinker? Sure. Something I would take into combat with me? Absolutely not.So I guess you think the .410 isn't a shotgun? Or the .25 ACP isn't a pistol? We're talking platforms, not power. You hold it with 2 hands and it fires a single projectile, it's a rifle, 2 hands and shoots shot, shotgun. 1 hand and a single projectile, handgun. 3 basic platforms for firearms, unless there are others...... It's his opinion. : P Do you find this valuable? |

"I do not believe he is debating the fact that they are classified as a rifle but rather that he would fling poop at his enemy before taking a .22.No, he said the SUB 2000 wasn't a rifle, not that it wasn't powerful or lethal, thats talking platform, not power. I'd rather have a .22, zombies are not susceptible to biological warfare, and depending on range, power etc, it would shred a brain. Epic, handguns were designed to be used with one hand (go figure...) so even though modern shooting techniques say 2 hands, they were designed for one. Do you find this valuable? |

I said I won't own one, not I wouldn't grab one and empty the magazine into a bad guy and then beat them to death with the stock ;). If poo is the only weapon available, then flinging poo it is.The .410 isn't too bad, all things considered. And the .25 ACP is a bad joke. But those are my personal opinions. By the legal definition in the US, a KelTec Sub2000 is a rifle, you are right. As a rifle it performs at the very bottom end of the spectrum. It has poor muzzle velocity for a rifle, very poor balistics for a rifle and uses a pistol round in a rifle-like platform. All in all, a pretty poor rifle compared to anything like the AK-47, AR-15, the ACR, etc. Anything else I can help you with? Do you find this valuable? |

If poo was the only weapon I had, then flinging poo it is.Pistol caliber carbines are really in a field of their own, but they definitely have their uses though. Sorry I thought the argument had turned towards the .22 LR. Do you find this valuable? |

MajorKrisis Again it's obvious you don't pay attention. So here goes, I live in Ohio but from Wyoming. I already own a SKS and owned others before. So the AK would be my pick before a AR any day of the week. For ammo commonality, price, and simplistic ruggedness. So I don't pay attention to who sells mainly AR platforms at gun shows. I do know the dealer is from Ohio and that's about it. He didn't have anything I wanted and or needed. But the price was a little tempting. Oh ya last year he was selling them for $450 so prices are going up around here too.But the pricing in your area is your worry not mine. Now my local gun shops sell the exact DPMS for $600+ the last time I even check their prices last year. So it can be $700 around here by now too. Don't really care since it's not on my shopping list, yet. A 9mm pistol is deadly enough and a 9mm carbine (rifle) is deadly enough at it's effective ranges. Nobody ever said it was the perfect combat rifle but it is still deadly enough at it's effective ranges. Being at the bottom of the effectiveness of rifles does not mean it isn't a rifle. Just not as effective as say the AK and AR platforms are. Bat again nobody ever said it was. As a trunk gun, BOB gun, close range defensive gun it fills these needs well enough for most shooters. If you don't like it then don't buy one. It's called choices and personal preferences. Do you find this valuable? |

If poo is the only weapon available, then flinging poo it is.No one is talking about power, only platforms. A 9mm rifle is better than a 9mm pistol. So we're now comparing a pistol calibre rifle, to a rifle calibre rifle.....anything to make your case then eh? Note, I can buy an AR for $650.....in Canada. If I can, you Yanks should be able to.
