Fear, no no not quite, they need to respect you. Armies that serve under the lash tend to fail or turn on the hand that beats them. Leaders that lead by the lash usually end up dead. "Treat your soliders as your beloved children and they will follow you into the darkest valley" Look at the whole list of things that you'll "work on" and think, the answer is you're not a leader. You are seeking validation. Timber is quite correct leaders usually aren't worth a **** without those that serve WITH them. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

There is no one correct leadership style, just as there is no one correct poker style. You adapt your leadership to fit the situation - effective leadership isn't about being what you want to be, but rather being what they need you to be. And sometimes that changes. You can have a squad on Monday morning that gets it done without having to be told, and by Friday afternoon you may need to put foot to @ss to get them to do anything. Once you understand the motives of your people, you may better apply different leadership styles in order to maximize efficiency. 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

That is quite true there is no one definition of what makes up a leader Devil. But the fact that the kid requires vaildation of a possition from online people tells me that he isn't one.

"You REALLY should see the people in the group, there pathetic."As their leader, this is a direct reflection on YOU. They were pathetic before, but now it's YOUR FAULT. Welcome to leadership! 7 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

"You REALLY should see the people in the group, there pathetic."There are two things wrong with that. First of all, appearances are a great part of leadership. If you are badmouthing your team then it's clear that you do not value nor respect them. It also shows that you have no respect for grammar either. Read Dale Carnegie's "How to make friends and influence people" It's a silly title I know, but it will stop and make you think about things in a way that is so obvious you'll feel stupid. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. And the prince! Whilst it's more concerned with realpolitik, it's still very worthwhile reading

"You REALLY should see the people in the group, there pathetic."Really? Could you explain further. What's so pathetic about them? Enquiring minds want to know. Do you believe that you'd be able to do anything with a group of the members here at ZSDW? You know whip them into shape and make them tow the line. That sort of thing. I'd like to hear how you'd fare with the userbase here. Some of them really need a good kick in the rear, ya know? 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

I wonder where he is pointing at and calling pathetic............ They're: is the contraction of they are Their: is the possessive " it was their choice to follow this fool" There: is a location indicator “over here, over there, send the word, send the word over there" Additionally: You’re: is the contraction of you are Your: is the possessive form Then: denotes sequence or order in time “I ate an orange then I threw out the peel” Than: denotes a comparison between things “Shadowmancer is much smarter than I am” Since you claimed to have "the brains" I thought I’d point these simple things out. Your childish behaviour has shown yet again that you are not a leader. If you insult your friends like that (note the possessive) I must ask what kind of friend are you? To everyone else: I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder about people bad mouthing their friends, so I’ll be a bit of a bastard lol. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

If they are so "pathetic" then why are you with them. Could it be that you're not the leader type, but that these "pathetic" people look to you because the best leader of the group. Frankly, it seems that the existence of this thread, along with the contents of your posts, shows that, no offense intended, you are not a leader or a big brain, and you talking about "pathetic" the people you are meant to lead shows that you are unfit to lead anything. No offense. I'm sure you're alright and have your place in the team, but you don't have any of the earmarks of natural leader, and I doubt a capable team would follow you.
