The first thing you should know about my plan is that I live in Cache Vally Utah. It is a place in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. It is hard to get to and there is alot of wild life there. Anyways the first thing that I will do when thee infected come is to grab all of my weapons. That means all my swords and knives, my paintball gun (for fun), my bow and arrows, and all of my traps. I will then go in my Dodge Ram 2500 to pick up my fellow survivers consisting of my uncle (and his wife), my two cousins, and my brother. We will then head up to my uncles house which very few people live. There is up the canyon just up the road from his house and in the canyon there's an old miners cabin that very few people know about that has wildlife florishing around it and a spring nearby. As for the clothes and close possetions problems, my fellow survivors would have everything packed before I got to their houses. Leave me some comments on what else I should do, or what I should have done, Thanks.

First of all, welcome to the site. Secondly, a plan isn't of much use unless you base it off of what you already have. If you don't have guns and a humvee now, then forget about them. So make a plan based on what you have right now, then you can narrow down what else you need.http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Ultimate+Newbie+Guide 4 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

The double face palm maybe slow? The only thing I can salvage from this is the location. Go to it scout it out see what resources are available for construction and to survive. Once that is done begin your preperation of the area grab a shovel and start digging. Dig a few hidden hidden root cellars line them with a post and beam frame making sure that the roof is strong. You may want to use plastic sheets to line the roof. Cover the roof with soil and level it make it look like the terrain arround it. These are hidden cellars after all and allow native plants to grow on top. These root cellars will be your hiding hole, they will be connected in a concealed way to the old cabin. The purpose will for food and emergency water storage and for safety. Place any sealable plastic water containers filled with water to build up a water stockpile. This water reserve is in case your cut off from the spring. Old 2L pop bottles will work in this situation. Before anything occurs spread wild eddible plant seeds native to your region across the entire canyon these plants will increase your food supply. Put supplies for food storage in the the cellars containers such as plastic peanutbutter containers or the like will do with the lid. These containers will be used to store your food, get a lot of them. Learn about wild eddible plants all this should be done before as a prep. Once the SHTF take all the food in your place to this location. Food and water are most important always keep supplies on hand incase your stuck inside the cellars for awhile. You should learn to shoot and build bows and arrows, so read the scout manual. Drop the humvee, the military guns and the busses you won't be able to steal them. Blocking off the canyon would kill the food supply or drive it off. Use hiden obseration points and gaurds at the canyon entrences rather than fixed defences with this area stealth is your ally, brute force will lead to death. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. lol my plan is flawed but it is the best I can do without data.Read this http://www.gutenberg.org/files/29558/29558-h/29558-h.htm It is the 1911 scout manual for FREE, it contains quite a bit of useful data. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

How will you steal a HMMWV? They don't just leave the keys inside...

Finding an abandoned and unlikely working Humvee with the keys still in the ignition would be a nice treasure find until you have to worry about fuel ... lol1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thanks Shadow...*double face palm* Going to a military base just after the outbreak to steal weapons, munitions and a Humvee...this is solid as long as your goal is to die trying and avoid the zombies all together. Take shadows advice and rethink your plan, otherwise you will have drove 19 miles in heavy traffic for 52 min just to get your family slaughtered 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"They don't just leave the keys inside..."Yeah, you could spend forever looking around the base for them ;) Frag-12, if you find a HMMWV with the keys in the ignition, it's probably a trap. I now have nothing more to add. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

You know, maybe it's just one of those things no one would ever expect, so it would work. What military base would expect a small family to drive in, load their sh*t into a hummer, then just peace out. Maybe everyone would just be standing around like, wtf just happened???And before I get internet poo flung at me, it's sarcasm. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Police failed to look at the bus stops for 6 months. Any idea how many stores he robbed in that time? The bus as a get away car. So dumb, it worked. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Maybe everyone would just be standing around like, wtf just happened???"More likely they would be standing around like, kicking your ass and arresting you. So lets say you get all the way to the base - perhaps even being allowed inside - only to find none of what you came for. What now? Is it worth the near-certain waste of your family's time for the very small chance of scrounging something marginally useful? 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
