Me And The Zombies!

First and foremost, I would like to take a moment to let you all know how good it feels to finally find "Like Minded People" who feel as I do when it comes to "ZOMBIES".......Not everyone takes the phrase "Zombie Apocalypse" literally or think that zombies do not can not or will not exist outside of Hollywood, so when I tell them about Mad Science and the pursuit to create a real flesh eating zombie then I'm looked at as though I'm the one who crazy.....I know everyone here has experienced the same reaction at one time or another. But I know they are real, and I have no sympathy for the drugged out zombie-pot induced drunk, lazy medicated populace who will be caught totally off guard and unprepared when that HORDE of flesh eaters comes a calling on them and their communities to provide due service......"LUNCH"! So with that said, I'd like to thank you all for being real, being you, and being here......Let "US" prepare!!! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

To be honest, I don't believe in zombies. I know the voodoo ones exist but not the kind you see in movies with the dead rising. To me this is just a fun hobby which is useful for preparing for real disasters.

Most members here are survivalists who are preparing for more realistic situations like natural disasters or civil unrest, we just use zombies as a way to make if fun. However, there are a lot of opinions out there and we don't mind people who believe differently. Welcome to the site.

I'm with the others, just a survivalist/hobbyist, Welcome to the sight, I'm sure there are plenty like you here who truly believe in the undead/infected. Not for me to say if they are or aren't real

I agree with all of the above. I just use the zombie apocalypse as a way to spice up real survival prep. And hey - if a zombie apocalypse DOES manage to happen, then I'll be at least somewhat ready for it, right? I think you'll find that this is a pretty prevalent mindset here, but it's always fine that someone does believe in a zombie 'pocalypse.Welcome to the site! Good to have you here. I'm one of those who is a bit out there, and while I know zombies aren't real right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Honestly, I'd prefer a ZomPoc over civil unrest/other scenarios, because I'd much rather kill zombies than scared, desperate people; that said, I'll still do what I got to do to survive.

I'll jump on the 'prepping for real situations' wagon, like everyone has said, most of us here use zombies fiction as a fun form of prepping for disasters, if you're prepared for a zombie apocalypse, you're pretty much prepared for anything!

Im with you on preparing for the zombie Apocalypse. weather it happens or not Ill be ready for it, I hope. and im proud to say that im preparing for the Zeds, i tell all my friends and im happy to have found a free minded website where its common to talk about it. So welcome aboard.

Hmmm... can I just say that zombies are not real? I believe that a sickness will overtake parts of the world, prompting the bugging in/out, though a neurological pathogen is highly unlikely.

Agreed, but highly unlikely does not equal impossible. At any rate... humans becoming raiders, and thieves, is likely enough in my mind. Prepare for one, you're prepared for the other. Simple as that. If you are prepared for a long siege, or a drawn out event. You can ride out most of the possibilities. We joke, and plot, and even rationalize the thought of zombies... but very few if any put any stock in it. As demonstrated by the Miami face chewing incident.
