Plastic Bottle Lights

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itZBT_2e-bs&feature=relatedSaw this video a while ago, then lately i realised . . Post-apoc lighting? Sorry if there's another thread about this, i searched and couldn't find any though. Some people on the internet claim this to be a scam, but i'll leave it up to you guys. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm 100% not in the mood to look but is this the video where the asian guy cuts holes in roofs and puts plastic bottles with bleached water in them into the roof? If so, it seems like a good idea but I've never seen it done so I'm not totally sure it would work

That is pretty neat! Seems like it only works in the daylight, but still - would make life much more comfortable. You'd be able to sit inside and read a book during the day.Good find. *Edit* Seems like this wouldn't be as simple with a "real" roof, because of how the bottle must sit between the top and below... You may find yourself needing to replace sections of your roof for this to be effective. Do you find this valuable? |

@Sharpie41 yeah its that one@DevilNuts certainly some roofs wouldn't be effective, but if it worked, i'd be installing it - light during the day in case you had no windows - dark at night when you don't want any light escaping your hideout/shelter Do you find this valuable? |

Decent idea... maybe with something larger? If you have to cut holes, and don't have a tin roof... may make it more worth while. Like a large clear water cooler bottle?
