Lol...true that a dozen or less and I don't even have to get out of bed...lol

Seriously though, heart and tenacity are a big part of it, your story about the terrier and the bull reminded me of a story my step dad used to tell about growing up on the ranch in eastern wa, the had an old tom that was nomadic it came and went as it pleased when ever it wanted...anyway one morning it was coming back from some adventure and ran afoul of one of the beef cattle or I should say the cow ran afoul of the old tom...anyways the cat ran up that things face and just cut loose on it ripping and tearing, tore that cow up so bad they had to slaughter it...not that it wasn't bound for the butcher anyhow...so heart and tenacity can carry an animal a long ways

A stork has a frog in it's mouth but the frog has it's hands wrapped around the storks neck, choking it.
