Flamethrower ain't gonna cut it. Burning Zeds that don't feel pain, accidentally setting other stuff on fire, no thanks. Might be ok at a base against a horde of raiders but with my luck I'd get a puncher in the tank and blow my self to smithereens.I have zero training with guns, but if I had no choice I'd pick one up (most likely to forget the safety or miss target completely) Also, steamroller. "Remove C4 and use the buckshot to reload shotgun shells....hahaha, yeah, my first tip is "don't do that". They are a bit tricky to disarm sometimes... no good if you screw it up. On a side note to an earlier post since I'm talking about it: C4 will NOT blow up if you stomp on it while it's on fire. Maybe some internet recipe version, but not the real stuff. You need a blasting cap that puts out a shock wave to detonate it. The stomping flaming C4 thing is like a military wives tale. Many claim to have seen it, but it just never happened/never will happen. Plain as that. As for cooking, yeah, it gives off fumes, but nothing that doesn't dissipate into the air, it won't contaminate your food. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I agree flame throwers of any type is a bad idea. They work great against the living until the living shoot your fuel tanks, then you go boom. If the weapon is not a 1 hit 1 kill vs. zombie melee weapon, I will not use it. Since there are so many zombies, my (your) weapon can not get stuck or be ineffective on the first strike. I prefer range 1 shot/hit 1 kill weapons as well but that comes down to skill and hitting the vital target(s) on the first shot. Since it is at range, you have a little extra buffer to get on target but it's better to kill them on the first shot than on any following shot. So for now, I will not use 22 LR until they prove to me that they are effective at a 1 shot 1 kill. It has been scientifically proven that most humans die from shock of being hit from bullets and not actual tissue damage. Since zombies are immune to shock, it has to be tissue damage. Like the flame thrower, if it makes the situation worse of the weapon is unwieldy or noisy like a standard chain saw, I will not use it. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Beacuse I bow hunt my S&W 500 is a hunting sidearm, not a good idea to shot a charging moose or bear with a recurve bow, thats the only time I use stupid big guns. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I would stay away from explosives there just to much and they wont do alot to a zombie the shrapnel is very unlikely to get a head shot. Yea it may blow there legs or arms off but then you just got a lot of blood and gore flying at you and the zombie is still coming and catching a zed on fire just seems to dangerous they wont freak out like a human target they will just keep coming catching anything they touch on fire. Ill stick with bullets and melee weapons way more easier to control and use.

Sharpies white gun, well we do get quite a bit of snow up here. A brown or black gun would stand out like a sore thumb. The white gun is just his winter gun. Sharpie can sneak around when the ground is white. With his three guns he has a gun for all seasons. He's just planned on surviving beyond the fall months :P. I thought someone should stick up for him.

It may sound odd but unless it was full auto i would never use a shotgun. reason being if there was a horde attack and all u had was a 12. gauge moss. your already dead!

Thanks Shadow, damn, there's another idea for it, a winter sniper rifle. Thats what I assume the guy did with it, hunted in the winter. Do you find this valuable? |

i think that (at the moment) i would stay away from guns... and i know how crazy it sounds to all of you but i'd probably end up shooting myself. i have no experience whatsoever with firearms. i think i'll stick with my bow for the moment =D

Knowing your limits isn't a strange thing, it reflects well on you. Knowing you have to learn and practice before you use a weapon correctly shows you have a good head on your shoulders. You with your bow will survive better than anyone who thinks they can just pick up a gun and mystically shoot effectively.The two worse weapons you can have are: a weapon you don't know how to use and a non-functioning one (no ammo, broken ect.) -Edited for typos geeze - Do you find this valuable? |
