You better start to consider food and water to be part of your immediate necessities and put them in this bag, a second bag that you have to carry in your hand or hands will leave you defenseless and off balance.

It isn't rocket science, cliff bars, food supplement emergency rations etc...are lightweight and packed with enough calories to see you through a day or 2

This is good advice.

@reloader97, I'd listen to this guy. You've loaded your pack with some heavy food choices.

Pack light, pack smart and keep things simple. You're thinking too hard if you don't mind me saying so. Water is the most important thing you can pack. It should be number one on your list.

I'd also think about adding some cordage, plastic zip ties and some clothes pins. A nice tarp would also be a valuable addition to your BOB.

He did in post 7 lines/items 31& 32.
But no mention of either weapon for the box of 22LR or 7.62x54R rounds.

Make up a pistol belt, load bearing gear, and put shell/bullet carriers on the weapons.
This will put spare ammo on each weapon and get it into places more easily accessible when needed.
You can also add a small first aid kit and a canteen of some kind.

Hey man, it looks like you got dem munchies. I personally dont have much use for drink mix unless youre gonna trade it or something. As for all that ammunition, is there a reason for as to why you have so many different kinds? I only have a few boxes of 00 in my BOB. Do you find this valuable?

You should try getting more dehydrated food rather than lugging all that canned food around. Maybe get some packs of nuts for extra calories, peanut butter tastes good but it doesn't contain much in the supplement area.
A couple of tea lights are a good idea but candle sticks not so much, last thing you want is your hands all greasy from handling them (no innuendo intended). Maybe a couple of long lasting chemlights would be a better choice.
Are those matches windproof? If not might be a good idea to get some, nothing more frustrating than wasting matches.

CC you might reconsider peanut butter. For the money, it is one of the most dense calories you can get. It is nutritionally varied having protein, vegetable fats, carbohydrates, fiber, and sugars. It is very well situated on vitamins and minerals also. Specially vitamin E, which might be extremely valuable in a Zpoc since E speeds skin healing.

I think it depends on what peanut butter you get. I'm a bit stingy on things like this so I'm probably buying the wrong brand. Cheers though I'll be sure to remember this for future reference.

I have made a ton of changes to my bag since I posted this, as soon as I get home I'll post it all. Off o the top of my head I've added a box of Winchester Silvertips in .308, I took out the hatchet and corn And changed my buckshot to just #4 and 00.

And about that MRE......it's from The Vietnam war, I've had one for lunch last year and didnt get sick but it's got to go. I don't want to pay the price for a modern MRE, what should its substitute be?

19.50 rounds of .22
20.10 rounds 7.62x54r

what are you going to be using these with? unless you can kill zombies by throwing bullets, you either want to bring the gun for them or leave them out altogether.
