The many uses of a bottle of Jack Daniels.

In the Mall Ninja Loadout thread, a few of us manage to start discussing the multifunctionality of a bottle of Jack Daniels and instead of derailing that thread with our discussion I figured I'd make it into a thread.In a survival situation you might need to improvise and make use of what you have at hand to complete a task or goal. All items are multifunctional, you just need to think. So how about we all brainstorm on the uses of a bottle of Jack. (Doesn't have to be related to survival.) Here's the current list of uses. (Some humorous ones.) USES. 1. Used for getting intoxicated. 2. Empty bottle can be used as a weapon. 3. Empty bottle can be used as a water storage device. 4. Excellent trade item. 5. Bottom of glass bottle can be knapped into arrow heads. 6. Bottle could be used as a temporary fuel container. 7. Could break up glass into large shards and spread them across the floor to act as a lame trap. 8. Same as above except this could be used as a crude alarm system. (When you hear the glass being trampled on you know someones there.) 9. Fill the bottom with water and put some flowers in. 10. Put a message inside, put the cap back on and throw it into the ocean. 11. Used as ornament. 12. Remove label and sew onto jacket for instant "More Badass" jacket. 13. Emergency urinal. 14. Candle Holder. 15. Antiseptic. 16. Oil Lamp. 17. Tinder. 18. Seed container. 19. Could be used to make Herbal Tincture. 20. Used for cooking bacon strips. 21. Molotov Cocktail bottle. 22. Mount it on the end of a pole and use it as a weapon. 23. Cologne. (For those of us who want to smell like drunks) 24. Put the cap back on and use it as an improved fishing float. 26. Make it into a small survival kit.27. Can be used as a rolling pin. (It's be a bit difficult due to it's partially squared off sides) Do you find this valuable? |

For those times where you want someone to think you're drunk, but you're not. +Good for posing with (if you're $!£^%$£^& 14) +Candle holder +Store fireflies +Store vile-tasting liquer, chuckle inwardly when hapeless fool drinks it +Remove bottom, invert, fill with cloth and sand, use as particulate filter +More posing (this time for 15 year olds!) +Fill with pebbles and use to anchor fishing lines to the bottom of the stream +Wind chime (multiple bottles required. Maybe you could add some of the uses for the container? @Alpha Hahaha! I was thinking of writing that! It'd be a dead giveaway if you heard that! :P I can't say I've ever seen 14 year olds posing with a bottle of Jack, maybe it's more common in England. :P 35. Short term survival cache. 36. There are two reasons I didn't write uses for alcohol containers:1) The containers are all different 2) The article would become incredibly long. Alcohol bottles are like most any other kind of glass vessel, with the same general traits and uses. We could write a book on different ways to use a container, or broken parts of said container. Do you find this valuable? |

Crush glass into shards and load shot shells with itCrush into fine powder and thrown into the face of an enemy will cause blindness, serious irritation to skin mouth and nostrils when inhaled as well as bleeding lungs just make sure your up wind wearing personal protective equipment Do you find this valuable? |

"I can't say I've ever seen 14 year olds posing with a bottle of Jack, maybe it's more common in England. :P"I have the misfortune to count some people amongst my friends who think that getting drunk is cool, and that alcohol is the fulfillment of their life. Long story short, I can sound like an old man at times ;) #n+1 musical instrument. Add small stones and you get percussion, wind and a rattle all in one. Add liquid and you can change the pitch of the note. Do you find this valuable? |

In fact now I've started working and studying I don't have any time at all to drink, which in my opinion is a good thing. I've got a lot of friends like that too. Oh well! If you happen upon the Jack Daniels distillery, you can use the empty bottle to hold more jack.I think I might add Lynchburg TN to my list of acceptable bug out locations... Do you find this valuable? |
