"One thing's for sure. If I found out they were experimenting on live people simply for crimes they committed or something of the like, I'd have a really hard time not poisoning their water supply on the way out. "So you would poison everyone in the colony even if it was likely most of them, like you, had no idea this was going on? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

""Another group"? I don't think that 3 years post-apoc that you'll be able to find many towns let alone towns willing to take in another mouth to feed. Especially a mouth they don't know.So what is the upside of this community? Food? Because, based on what I saw, I wouldn't say safety. Regardless, we would discreetly pack up our gear, confiscate some food, and sneak away as soon as possible. Squirrel is pretty tasty. Do you find this valuable? |

"So you would poison everyone in the colony even if it was likely most of them, like you, had no idea this was going on?"Key words: "If I found out they-" That's an if. If I found out that they really were as evil as I suspect they are, I would want to make sure they don't do something like this again. ETA: If I knew it was only some of the people, the temptation would be to poison the ones I knew about. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Key words: "If I found out they-" That's an if.There's nothing evil about experimenting on criminals. For all you know the woman and her boy were part of a cannibalistic rape gang that preyed on this colony for the past three years, they finally caught these two, and they're putting them to a better use than just turning them into fertilizer. You think they're likely to get volunteers for this kind of thing? For all you know they're close to finding a cure for the zombie plague and you just casually poison all of them because you don't like how they did it. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

They're just as sick and twisted and criminal as their experiment subjects. There absolutely is something criminal and evil about experimenting on criminals. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"There absolutely is something criminal and evil about experimenting on criminals. "First off, if the leader of the colony says it's fine, it's fine. Laws that exist now no longer apply, the laws will be made by each colony as they see fit. What is and is not criminal will be completely redefined depending on where you are. Second, what are you using to define evil? The Bible doesn't say anything about not experimenting on criminals, so what makes you say it's evil? Is it based on what people believe is evil now, because once again, that is going to change drastically. 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I don't give a crap what some random leader decides is okay. Experimenting on criminals crosses my moral guidelines. The leader is an evil bastard and needs to be stopped. If you want to execute criminals, then do it. But this is just sick. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

"So what do you draw your moral code from? A society that will no longer exist by the time you get to this scenario? You're willing to kill an entire colony of people in the most cowardly way possible because you disagree with how they should execute their prisoners? I notice you didn't say you would put the two people with their chests open out of their misery before you left, so obviously you care more about killing people you don't like than ending the suffering of people you feel are being mistreated. 2 out of 4 found this valuable. "You're willing to kill an entire colony of people in the most cowardly way possible"The difference between cowardice and wise strategy is invisible to those who fail to recognize it. When faced with enemies of superior numbers history has shown that poison, bio-warfare, nukes, and the bombing of civilian centers become viable tactics. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Days pass and things sort of ease up for a bit. You and your spouse are on your toes but want more info before acting. So in the interest of factfinding you peek in as soon as you are sent down and are greeted with the sight of a young teenage female strapped to the table vivisected like the previous occupants only this time a man in a gray coat is also there and your last view before quietly leaving are of him pulling something wriggling from her stomach. What now? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

If it is I would confront the man in the coat immediately to find out what's going on. It sounds like he's either doing a c-section or removing a parasite. Do you find this valuable? |

Vivisection (in this context) is the body cavity as a whole from neck to hips. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'd get my gear together, prepared to make a hasty exit if need be, and get Kelly (using her in place of a spouse) to sneak down again. Make sure the guns are loaded.Do some more spying, and then after the surgery is done and the man is preparing to leave we both enter and begin questioning him. Weapons are holstered/slung to avoid appearing like we're preparing an attack. I'm leaning toward the possibility that he's not doing anything bad at this point, but no sense being unprepared. And I don't like to assume that anything involving wiggling parasites in people's chests is "none of my business" when it's going on right next door. Do you find this valuable? |

Carnack. Your scenario is changing. Original post says "chest cavity" not your new complete from top to bottom. Its cool but please either fix your original post or stay within your own guidelines. TR. You go on about assUme. But you assUme there isn't other colonies/settlements and or they won't welcome new members. Now a cure? Really? Cure the dead from walking or eating. lol Do who exactly is gonna give the Zeds the shot or make them tske their pills. lol Now I would confront the doctor. Since Carnack hasn't said we reconize this person I can only guess where these "less valuable" people are coming from. But I will not let innocent people be used like this. And yes I would put them out of their missery. And gladly. But equating because they are prosperous and the "leader" says so. Isn't any excuse to let evil do as they want. Bama & Want & othets are 100% correct. If this wasn't bad/evil. Then why not tell me or at least my "nurse" wife if it's legit. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
