"First I would go to the leader and say that while getting a part I got lost the came across this room. that had the teenager strapped to a table. and asked him if he knew about this. but before I would get my spouse to get packed and be ready to run. also you did see him in the lab when he was working on the teenage girl.
The fact is that you are a valued. in the communtiy so if they don't know then you helped stop a very evil person if they know then then you walk away / run. "
Would they let you walk away? If he is doing something horrible, they would not want word to get out. Even if you managed to get out, they would be chasing and hunting you. From the sounds of things they have a decent population. Not a good situation for you.

Welcome to the web my fellow flys, the spider has spun another awesome scenario thread.

Steel Rain asked some really good questions. What I'd like to do is ask my co-worker who the dude in the grey lab coat is.

So let's just say that when I ask Jim Bob for a metric set of wrenches for the Toyota I'm working on I also throw in a, "Hey who's the dude in the grey lab coat that everybody steers clear of?".

I wouldn't be so much interested in his answer as how he reacts to the question so would you please let me know that as well.

Thanks Carnack AKA "The Spider".

"One question for you both.

You have not been threatened and it has been implied that you two are valuable members.
This implies that you are safe at this point.

Does this fact change your answer at all? Because aside from people getting vivisected this place is damn near perfect."
perfection is the best cover.

i'd either try and figure out the key individuals involved in such an atrocity, or i'd find a way to make them instill a security protocol. get all the womenand children and such into a "Safe area".

and basically attempt a takeover and then bring attention to this.

Or wait until somebody returns, interrogate them(i'd also have put the two pour souls out of their misery) and then i'd either get my info, or tear the place apart.

then you would have someone deliver a letter detailing what you saw. or Have your spouse ready to run because if they try to stop me from leaving the there will be one hell of a fight because I a ok shot with my guns. and I will not be brought before that guy alive. and during the fight the gate would not be watched and my spouse could run for it.

What if I just released the old guy with the backwards arms back into the community and returned to discreetly see what unfolded, trying not to let anyone know it was me.
It's a dangerous experiment, particularly if this is some kind of cult and/or he's a volunteer, but it could tell me who is "in on it," and it would give me an excuse to confront the authority without it looking like I was snooping.
Better yet, someone else might do it for me so I'll know he questioners are treated.

Where is Carnack? We need the next piece of the scenario, lol.

As it stands right now, my wife is on stand by with our gear ready to go. I'm hiding in the doc's lab waiting to kill him and hide his body.

Will there be some strange twist where the guy on the table was suffering from some life threatening disease that can only be cured by reversing your arms?

Totally.

I love to read something that has me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next.

The guy was caught reading on watch, so they taught him to read braille and reversed his arms. That way he can stand watch and read.

What if the old man has cancer and his final wish is to have backwards arms so he can easily scratch his back and give the guy behind him the finger without turning around. What? You've never wanted to do either of those things?

lol, I'm gonna feel like a real a$shole if I just killed a guy who was just granting a dying man's last wish to give the finger to people behind him

"You said we had been there when he was there."
That I did. You were outside the door peeking in through the window in it.

But you can't see the whole room. Not implying anything but he may not be alone.

Treelegs: "Can I just walk out the door or what?" Not exactly. You are free to leave but you will be questioned. Keep in mind also that as someone deemed useful they will be reluctant to let you go with a "Bye"

Timber: ""Hey who's the dude in the grey lab coat that everybody steers clear of?""

His response would be to close down further and to tell you that he's just some coat the bosses keep around.

Jesse: "Where is Carnack? We need the next piece of the scenario, lol."

Would you believe that I had a board meeting at church?

Cause I did :P

More O Da Tale:

At this point you and your spouse are planning your exit but days before your departure the doc shows up at your room and introduces himself as Dr Ishii and because a couple of his usual aids got sick he needs some muscle for a scavenging mission. A day max.

Response?

It was just a few minutes ago. Thats why my wife is helping me get up and down out of my chair.

If that doesn't work, then a simple "I prefer not to leave camp without my wife".

Just me and him unloading gear?

I imagine he'll accidentally trip and break his neck...and also have his knife go into his stomach.

Then no go. I'm whiny, frustrating, and uncooperative. My wife and I are in the middle of something. If you have 4 men I'm sure you'll be fine.
