"I wonder if Harper will change the laws?"
As we've said many times before, Sharpie, one can only hope. He did right by the Long Gun Registry, so that's cause to be optimistic anyway.

"An 8.5 inch shotgun does not need to be registered if it has a full stock.

That's another plus.

Prince-How are our ARs neutered?
Yes the mags are pinned unless it's belt fed, then no issue. Or unless you have a prohib license.

No, well, legally anyways, hopefully eventually they'll be made legal.

Also, I bought my first handgun at 18. No "straw purchases" for me."
if you have to pin the magazine, its neutered.

ALso, you didnt answer my question:
Can you get suppressors?

The pins only neuter the gun in peace time. In the event of a SHTF occurrence, we just have to drill out the pins and we're good.

As for suppressors, no, we cannot get those. But information is not illegal, and information as to the means of making a decent suppressor from readily available materials is not hard to come by. So again, as long as one has the proper materials on hand, none of which are illegal in and of themselves, making a suppressor After the SHTF wouldn't be that hard.

Here's hoping, but (while it will probably be back burnered for awhile in light of the Connecticut shooting) there was a bill that was supposed to be introduced to the Canadian legislature just before that incident that would address many of our wonky firearms laws, including magazine capacities.
