.357 double action revolver.

Simple to use, quick reloads with speed loaders and practice. It holds .38 and .357 ammo, either is easy to find, and either causes severe hydrostatatic shock in the brain cavity. Do you find this valuable?

"Colt Python!!"
SCrew that! For that kind of money I could get a pair of Rugers and still buy a Remington 870 and the accessories I would want.

Meh, IMO still more of a showpiece than anything.

Yeah, I did too; very nice gun. But, IMHO, when it comes to actually using in the field and getting things done, I think there are better revolvers for the job.

I am a huge fan of the Ruger single action revolvers. Reload time is the biggest drawback. But it would certainly help keep the "point & spray" shooters fron wasting valuable ammo.

S&W Model 13.

@BAMA I am as well, except for the older vaquero's in the 44. mag. the Bisley grip seems to come into my hand too much.

I'm not a fan of the Bisley grip. The standard single action grip allows the gun to pivot so the recoil is not straight back into your hand (one of the reasons I like them).

I've shot numerous Super Blackhawks in .44Mag, and they were all much easier to control then a double action revolver, imo.

I have a Super Blackhawk Hunter now. Great gun. And the Ruger Vaquero in .45LC is one of my favorites as well. Not practical in serious combat, but for the first 6 rounds it could be deadly.

I own a Uberti 1873 Colt reproduction in the .45Lc and love it. It is a fun gun to shoot, now that you can find ammo for it.

I bought mine because a friend kept wanting me to go to some Cowboy Action Shooting events. I have been to a few and had a blast.

It also syncs well with a .357 lever gun. Do you find this valuable?

Another handy trait.

A friend has a Henry Big Boy in .357. Don't know how well it shoots, but its a pretty little thing.

Not my actual gun, but easier than taking and posting a picture :0P
This is the gun that stays in my truck 24/7. Small enough to conceal easy. Shoots like a dream. The shrouded hammer allows for rapid drawing, yet single action steadiness and accuracy.
I keep mine in a fanny-pack holster (go ahead, laugh) with a speed loader, 3 speedloader strips, a small flashlight, a glow-stick, a book of matches I sealed up in baggies and duct tape, and a spare folder knife. Makes for a handy little grab-bag.
