"Does anyone know where I can get a .22 with good sights and similar qualities with the Ar- 15 and a .22 pistol with good sights to go with it?"I am a huge fan of the Ruger 10/22. There are more aftermarket addons and parts than you can possibly list. Look at that for the rifle. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Look at that for the rifle."Agreed, although he did say similar to an AR, S&W M&P15-22 maybe? I've heard those are good, although expensive for a .22 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"what is the point of the gun. the cross bow is just as good."Can you hit a target at 200 yds. with a crossbow? Can you carry hundreds of crossbow bolts? Can you load your crossbow while moving? Does your crossbow hold more than one round at a time? Crossbows have their place, but I have to disagree that they're "just as good" as a gun But anyway, to the OP, I agree the M&P .22 would be a good idea. Or, possibly just buying a standard AR then getting a conversion kit; then you have the best of both worlds. Do you find this valuable? |

"i can shoot it 170 yardsProve it, please. Edit: Scratch that. I'm sure you theoretically could shoot it at that far. Please prove that you can shoot accurately enough to be effective. And maybe not, but it will be known by other survivors, who would have no problem engaging you with a rifle. Do you find this valuable? |

A xbow that can reach 170 yards (at an arch) has a string twang louder than a .22 sub sonic. Your position would be given away as if you had slapped two boards together. Also, how many shots can you make downfield in 170 yards? How many shots could you take before they reached you (fast zed would be on you in less that 20 seconds). I can put all 30 rounds out of a 10/22 in that time with some semblence of aim. A xbow, what? 2. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Most hunters, who practice a LOT, keep their shots to 60 or 75 yards. And those are long shots.I call BS on accurate fire at 170 yards. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
