Sounds like a pretty nice setup. What caliber is the 700 in, and what suppressor do you have? Also, in addition to all the fear, do you have a plan of action? Do you find this valuable? |

"Sounds like a pretty nice setup. What caliber is the 700 in, and what suppressor do you have? This list is my goal, I am a teenager so I have everything on that list except for the guns, and I get my learners permit this week, I get the truck when I get my license next year, My plan is coming together pretty nicely....im thinking 30-06 for the barrel of the 700 just because of the availabilty of the ammo, and im not sure about the suppressor, any ideas? My plan is to stay at my house, because its brick and concrete, so its strong, I have some land, so room for a garden, I have a well, so no public ordinance on water supply, its not as secluded as id like but It will do. Im close to family and friends with similar setups as mine....if all else fails, my BOL is on the side of a mountain in North Carolina that is very secluded, has a natural water source, a stream that forms into three ponds, and cows, geese, chickens, a horse, four gardens, you get the idea, although I have a few alternative plans in mind as well, thats my first and formost Do you find this valuable? |

Okay, cool. In all honesty, I was doubting that you had all this; it being a goal list makes more sense. What do you have access to ATM?Your plan sounds good as well; I like that you are staying in an area ou are familiar with and aren't trying to loot a Wal-Mart. About how far away is your BOL from your house? If you can get there without too many problems, then that's even better. Good start! Do you find this valuable? |

"Nice list of gear, do you plan on using four packs? and where is the plan you mentioned in the title?"My BOB consists of a duffel bag of food, one of water, one of clothes, one of medical gear, 50 gallons of gas, a generator, cooking gear, sleeping gear, a toolbox, a fire starting kit, a gun cleaning kit, a duffel bag of ammo, this will all be held in my truck. If im forced to go on foot, then the fanny pack will hold ammo, the CamelBak will hold food and water, and the backpack will hold a little of everything else, except for the gas and generator, I just listed my plan. "Okay, cool. In all honesty, I was doubting that you had all this; it being a goal list makes more sense. What do you have access to ATM?Ha, like I said im getting the truck next year, and the 700 next year, and the other weapons ill pick up when I get the chance, but I have everything else. I have a handful of BOL's but the one I mentioned is in Cherokee, North Carolina, and I live in Lakeland, Florida, in between Tampa and Orlando, so its a long drive, but its a good place to settle. It takes about 5 hours with decent traffic. Do you find this valuable? |

Going through hundreds of miles of unfamiliar territory could cause some pretty severe hazards. Do you find this valuable? |

"Survival Gear;I have only a few things to say: One, maybe you should consolidate the clothing a little bit. You can always find some later, and the jeans put on some rather unnecessary dead weight. Two, I don't know how much exercise you do on a daily basis, but you may (definitely) want to go for a mile/half-mile, depending on your level of fitness, run with the pack on and see how miserable you feel. If you feel very miserable, you should take a few things out and maybe start a little fitness regime. If you feel somewhat miserable, fiddle with its contents until you feel better. If you feel great, color me impressed! Do you find this valuable? |

"I have only a few things to say:Its alot of give and take, because on one hand, I want to be mobile, but I also want to have plenty of supplies and weapons for defense, I want to be warm in cold weather, and cool in warm weather, plus the bandana and balaclava and sunglasses keep blood out of my face, Plus, I am pretty strong and agile, I go hiking all the time with a pack similar, in the same clothing, and im talking 25 miles, on uneven terrain, although I will test it out, once I get ALL of the gear on my list, I will pack it, and then hike with it, to get a feel, but like ive said before, my plan involves a 4wd truck, so it shouldnt be an issue, there are two sayings I always use, work smarter not harder, and prepare for the worst hope for the best Do you find this valuable? |
