My main Prepare Plan Part 1
Aug 5 2012, 1:44 PM EDT
My plan would be, If i was watching TV (most likely) I would know if the outbreak starded, i would get wood or planks, board up all my entrances and exits (accept my upstairs window) get my backpack and get abouts 5 things of canned food and other things, then cash just incase someones barting out there, then prepare homeade melee weapons. Get out of the house find a truck/SUV. Then find my best buds who prepared also.

You didn't say anyhing about water, water is more important than "abouts 5 things of canned food, other things, then cash" 1.)Water, you need away to retrieve it, store it, purify it 2.)Fire, at least 3 ways to make it I personalty prefer 5 3.)Shelter, this means a shelter or ways to build shelter, cordage, cordage cordage, a good fixed blade knife, preferably not stainless steel, an 8'x10' tarp, tent stakes, emergency blanket or bivy 4.)Food, light weight, high calorie emergency rations such as mainstays, re packaged MRE's you can condense 3 down to the size of 1 by removing all the bs 5.)Weapons, something as simple as a bat to defend yourself and keep attackers off you or if your old enough firearms ie. pistol, shotgun, rifle, assault weapons etc... EDIT: I would suggest scrapping your death plans and starting over. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm going to have to agree with SlowRide here. Scrap your plan and start over. Also I saw your other thread you started and I think it's not feasible to carry a watermelon. I suggest you look at this sites sections on Bugging out, Bug out bags and before you read those have a look at The Ultimate Newbie Guide. http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Ultimate+Newbie+Guide http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/Bugging+Out http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/Bug+Out+Bags+%28INDEX%29 David Canterbury from the pathfinder school has a set of 10 C's of Survivability. If you're going to make a BOB make sure you incorporated each of the C's into your kit. _____________________ 1.Cutting tool – the most difficult thing to reproduce in an outdoor situation 2. Combustion – you need something that will start a fire no matter if it is wet or dry 3. Cordage – para cord, rope, straps, etc 4. Container – something that you can carry, boil, and purify water in 5. Cargo – a pack that you can put your items into 6. Compass – some sort of item that you can determine accurate coordinates for 7. Cover – you need to have some sort of shelter to protect you from the elements 8. Candle or light – 100% bees wax candle or a flashlight 9. Combination tool – which is actually more of a comfort item SAK, multi tool or saw 10. Cloth or bandana – used for filtering water etc ___________________ Reference - http://reddirtsurvival.com/2011/07/10csofsurvivability/ Since this is Zombie Survival I would probably add another C in there. 11. Combat tool - A weapon or tool that can be used effectively in combat. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
