Well first, you need a good assistant... so that they can get your ideas out there... you need help with that.Then you'll need a good PR person, to help you recruit... I suggest O'Doul, he had a pretty good routine...lol 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

Okay you want to survive? Here is the best thing I can do for you in that matter I'll give you some advice. The simplest solution is to fill your head with knowledge. Learn multiple skillsets to allow for adaptability (the key to long term survival and evolutionary success) What you need to learn Food: How to acquire it Hunting, tracking, wild edibles, fishing and basic agriculture and water purification Shelter: How to build Construction of shelters, repair, resource management, time management and estimating amounts of resources needed. General survival: making things and needed skillsets. Bush craft and Primitive skills, fire, navigation, first aid and CPR, self-defence, bow construction and arrow construction, gun use, archery, sewing, knitting and knapping. Where you can start to learn Boy Scout manual – the 1911 version is available free on Project Gutenberg. Shadow had the best advice.Stockpile supplies Build a BOB (bug out bag) Get a means for protection Get family and friends into a real group/team Learn skills like first aid, gardening, food preservation, self-defense, hunting/fishing, animal husbandry, fire starting, useful local plants for medications and or foods. And practice all skills. Test and practice with all gear and tools. And always try to improve everything. Because it will never be perfect. Good luck. Do you find this valuable? |

"cool so i have a team"Shadow and ACR are right. A team of people recruited off the internet, that you've never met and who all probably live hundreds of miles away from you is no team at all. Start having "What If..." chats with real life friends and family. What if there was a snowstorm (or a flood or whatever) and we were trapped inside our own house with no power for a couple of weeks, what would we do? What would we eat? What if there was a fire and we had to evacuate our house, what would we do? Where would we go? What if there was something bigger and we had to evacuate the whole neighborhood, what would we do? Where would we go? What if there was a riot and looters tried to break in and rob the place while the neighborhood was being evacuated, but the police were to busy elsewhere to stop them (sadly this sort of thing happens all the time even without an apocalyptic event, just watch the news for examples), what would we do? How would we protect ourselves? Have these sorts of discussions every now and then just to get people in a Survival Prep kind of mindset, while also gauging their reactions to see which of them is most willing to be proactive and actually DO something to prepare in advance, which of them come up with good ideas, and which of them have no good answers but just want to rely on everyone else to save their ass. Then you'll be able to determine who the best potential real life recruits would be. By the way, when you're asking your "What If..." discussions, don't open with "What if there was a Zombie Outbreak and..." In fact, don't mention Zombie Prep at all unless you've all just watched The Walking Dead or a zombie movie or something and everyone is in that headspace already. Otherwise, your "What If..." scenarios will just be dismissed as silliness and it will be hard to get your friends and family to take you seriously later. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
