"This is like the global warming scare that predicted the Pacific Ocean rising and covering some islands. It never happened."But sea levels ARE rising. This is fact. There are international summits about it all the time. Wether or not you believe it was caused by humans, it's happening Do you find this valuable? |

"Except warm water heads upwards, and cold downwards, where they mix isn't anywhere near the oil, which is at the very top of the warm current on the surface..."Not quite true, when was the last time you saw a river freeze from the bottom up? I suspect that salt acts as the emulsifier. Crude is a mix of varying hydrocarbons, some of those ARE water miscible. Even so, I don't believe we have dumped enough oil into the oceans to have as much impact as greenhouse gasses. The hype over impending ice ages and global warming leaves me indifferent. But just in case, I want a key fob too! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Nothing against you personally, but aren't you always posting outbreaks and other doomsday type "news"?Nope, actually this is the first 'lots of people are going to die' thread of mine, but i did post one about a total economic collapse prediction. Anyway, why is that important? But if you wish to know, we have a weekend house and property we work on so virtually all our vegetables and fruit are grown by ourselves. We only buy bananas and peanuts. So roughly 50% of food we eat is from our own sources. second there are wood supplies for at least two winters, rainwater collector(though not useful for the past 2 years :/), chemicals to treat water, currently building a greenhouse(especially proud that the cost to build a skeleton is less than 50 $), profficiency with a bow, though never tried hunting anything with it. The property is unlikely to be covered in ice as it is in Croadia, medittarean climate, ~~300 metres above sea level. But there are several other problems that countries unaffected by ice are going to have Take Croatia as an example. Due to drougs, if food import is stopped, people will start starving after 10 days. Massive migrations from other countries to south, including Croatia. While this would boost our turism( :P ) though it won't be long untill the borders close. I do not doubt that militaries will interfere, and while our military proved itself some 20 years ago by retaking 1/3 of the country with no army/weapons, I am confident that if it does come to a war, our military will fail, and chaos will continue. How to grow crops in affected area? How to defend your property? How to deal with martial law? Do you find this valuable? |

What do parachutes have to do with Croatian food supply? And why drougs (droge?) in particular?Sorry man, the imp of the perverse made me do it. . Do you find this valuable? |

"What do parachutes have to do with Croatian food supply? And why drougs (droge?) in particular?Parachutes? WTF? This was a very very bad year for agriculture. First the colds kill the seed, then lack of rain severely damages the yield. Most of the food is being imported right now. Ban on irrigation/carwash etc... doesnt help either Do you find this valuable? |

if martial law is in place, and effective, then I don't think you ought to try to "deal with" it. Just go with it. I urge you not to try to fight the government, because you will probably die.As far as the other problems go, I could write an essay but i'll condense it for you lol. I think the best way to approach it would be to form a local community which has to be headed with reason. This would provide a way to grow, protect and process crops and maintain security etc. The maor threat to this however, is if there is a famine then people will not be so willing to co-operate in a local community. I intend to ride out the worst of the violence with my stockpile of food and weapons. Do you find this valuable? |

"But sea levels ARE rising. This is fact. There are international summits about it all the time. Wether or not you believe it was caused by humans, it's happening"Like climate change, rising and falling sea levels have been happening before man used fire for the first time. The UN predicted the sea to rise enough to completely submerge some smaller islands. It never happened after all the doomsday predictions. And yes I do not think it is man made. The air was worse in the industrial revolution up till recent times. And in that time period the "experts" first predicted a ice age, now it's either global warming or climate change and now a ice age again. The so called experts admit their own models are flawed. Some got caught play hard and fast with the numbers and models to get their desired outcomes. For me to now believe such a literal "drop in the bucket" amount of oil in such a huge ocean will start a new ice age in a few years is unbelievable. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I hope global warming is real so birds can devolve back into dinosaurs, dinosaurs VS zombies, who wants to place bets"Why would birds turn into dinosaurs as a result of global warming? Dinosaurs would win methinks. Just can't bite through those thick reptilian hides! p.s. Global warming is definately real. Annual global average temperatures have risen, and CO2 levels have risen by something stupendous like 30% since the 70s (I think), The only controversy is whether or not it's a result humans. "...I am in agreement with ACR.The world is coming to a end........ .....Carnack agrees...... ......with me? Cool Recort temps? Ya for over 30yrs I keep hearing how we broke another 50s record. Sounds like the 50s were hotter. And now I hear we are setting new lows here in Ohio while other parts of the country us setting other records. I just think it's nature. But hey I'm not a expert getting funding every time I scream doom. Or keep getting caught rigging results and flat out lying. Or using a computer model that can't predict tomorrow let alone years. Yep I'm not an expert. Do you find this valuable? |
