Good plan, yet still some problems...

Everything seems to be planned down to the last detail except for one thing... Energy sources. I know you mentioned a gas station but isn't a sustainable solution.
You will need some form of light, fuel, heating right? If you can survive the zombies without any lighting systems, that's fine, but you won't survive raiders/desperate survivors. They could easily break into your compound in the cover of darkness.
Do you find this valuable?

Generators running off of wood gasifiers diesels converted to run off vegetable oil/biodiesel. Battery banks charged by solar/ wind power. im sure a clever tinkerer can make a steam power generator. (im thinking copper tubing and a car turbo to start b Do you find this valuable?

I'd like to see you run with that Bigralph, the idea of using a car tuurbocharger as an engine to drive a generator that is.

^this^

Need a constant oil for lubrication or failure.
Bearings aren't designed to handle that kind if load.
And those are obvious easy problems.
