Anybody ever had a Henry .22 lever action?
Aug 17 2012, 10:24 AM EDT
I am buying a lever .22 as soon as I sell the muzzleloader I have. Hopefully in the next few weeks. I have looked at the Henry, Browning, and Marlin. I have heard nothing but good things so far about all of them but the henry is considerably lower priced. Has anyone ever owned any of these and had any problems out of them?

I found it light, easy to bring on target, accurate and seemingly durable ( never gave me a problem when I used it) My buddy Jack says he is very happy with it and has never had a problem. I've got one. It's really an awesome little gun. I learned to shoot on it when I was a kid. It was my grandpa's gun and he gave it to me. Holds 15 shots (16 if one's in the pipe) super accurate, and really fun to shoot. The only drawback is how it loads, it's got a tube magazine that you have to remove the rod from, insert each round one at a time, and put the rod back in, it's a lengthy process. So reloading on the run is very very difficult. Other than that...it's awesome. Hope this helped.

I've had a Henry in .22mag for a few years now and it's super reliable. Fills that notch between .22lr and having to go to a center fire. I've dropped 50-60 pound hogs with it no problem.

Unfortunately never had one, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I think hickok45 loves one himself.
