I haven't found the Handgun preview, but I'll post it if I find it.

Yup, that's right, Chris Costa has now put out Zombie Training Videos.

There is a lot of controversy on the Firearm Blog saying he's doing it for the money. But honestly, why else would he do it?

Check 'em out, lemme know what you think.

CAPITALISM!!!111!

In all seriousness why would he make videos anyways other than the satisfaction of knowing he's training people to survive? Zombies are the in thing right now, and if people are willing to part with their money for his videos than so be it.

I wouldn't mind learning much of anything combat related from Costa....He's kind of the man lol.

The guys on The Firearm Blog keep saying that zombies are stupid and that Costas a moron for getting into this, and that only kids would buy this.

But I tell them, its better to have a pro teach them properly than some dumbass with a video camera, even with it being geared to zombies.

Those elitist d-bags probably all secretly bought the videos, they are the morons.

I figure it like this: if adding a bit of fun and entertainment to it (ie - zombies, aliens, T800s, whatever) is what it takes to get people onboard, then I'm all for it. These may be people who wouldn't justify spending money on straight training videos, but the addition of the zombie element might be the thing that adds the trendy factor because, as ODB said, zombies are the in thing right now. So now they are willing to sit through some training videos that they might not otherwise have watched. The way I see it, as long as the training itself is sound (Is it? I don't know) then getting that training can't a bad thing, no matter what kind of schtick its packaged in.

They're just p!ssed he thought of it and not them.

They could also be purists that hate fad anything or anything that doesn't se serious.

Either way they can pound sand. If they had their way all guns would have wood stocks, a 10rd maximum magazine capacity, and blued steel.
Polymer, reflex/red dot sights, striker fired pistols, duracoat/coloured, laser sights, high capacity magazines, ect, ect. would of never been developed. All done on a boring pre approved coarse only introverts would love.

I say if it sells and helps train people then great. If all it does is entertain zombie fiction freaks is cool too.

Chis Costa rocks.

I can see why he'd do this and as far as I know there isn't anyone out there making training videos who DON'T want to make money.

Training videos are a way for someone with his list of skillsets to make a buck or two. Is that so wrong?

Not at all, and neither is the addition of the zombie genre to bring those same videos to a wider audience.

Much less difficult to use fear mongering tactics when you can make people believe that the only ones who find shooting fun are murderers and robbers.

The idiotic part is "he's doing it for the money".
Huh?
He used to work for Magpul. Bet he wasn't doing it for free.
Matter of fact, every gun industry business is in it for the money.
Pathetic twits

More like gun snobs.

They will use anything as an excuse to bad mouth whatever is deemed unacceptable. It's just more anti zombie BS from the so called "experts".

Revisionist history for convenience of their arguments.

I'll take what I can get. Honestly, I didn't pay for all the Magpul vids.

Nor will I probably pay for this one. Doesn't mean I won't eventually see it though.

Sadly you will always end up with a few people like that, no matter what area of interest you choose to pursue. It makes no difference where your interests lie, there will always be those who will brand your interests as "stupid" and their own as somehow better.

I like it for a few reasons.

1. We're seeing common civilian weapons that get little attention in instructional DVDs - the M1 Carbine, .45 LC revolvers, .22 pistols, etc.

2. If it teaches people who would otherwise be clueless morons who happen to like zombies, I dig it. More knowledge is safer for us all.

3. Not just guns. Taking the focus off of guns later on = awesome.

Though, while we're at it...
