well if they got bit my a human Z then what would be stopping them from attacking other species i guess everything is open season for zombies

I would assume that they wouldn't attack other dead creatures, going on the assumption that zombies hunt for the flesh of the living. Though as WhyBother08 pointed out, we can't say for sure in any way. It would be nice though if they turned on each other, it would mean less work for the uninfected.

Read the book "Empire". There are zombie animals in that book.
