Not a typical machete, but a big kukri can easily decapitate a zombie. They're originally from Nepal, but Cold Steel (ahh - where would we be without them?) makes a modern one, as well as some from other companies. I assume that the old original ones would be more durable due to greater thickness - and the fact that they were made to be used in combat, so the wielder had to depend on it so they were made to see action.

the bola machete is perfect for this because its weighted end of the blade.

A machete would be my preferred weapon if it came down to melee combat, I would have gone with the Katana but I imagine that it requires some skill and both hands. I'm not sure but if I had the time to practice than it would be the Katana. If I was holed up in my strong hold behind a metal gate I would also want a spear, it would provide a longer reach and it would be easy to aim for the face.

no, bad idea, do you have any idea how incredibly hard it is to hack off a limb or head, don't bother, your blade will probably either get stuck, you'll fail and be eaten and if by some miracle you succeed you'll be really tired out.

I know that makes me sound like a mall ninja, but I have always been a bit of a fan of Alexander the Great. If he trusted one to be his sword, then I should be able to trust one as mine. Do you find this valuable? |
