So true. I know half a dozen guys around here with .50BMGs (bolt guns) and they will go out and shoot 30-40 rounds in a day (which is $200-400 in ammo alone).

Still, shooting a pumpkin three quarter's of a mile away looks like the kind of fun that I wonly wish I could have.

My gun budget isn't that big, but given time, I could see dropping 1.5K for a reliable semi-auto recoiless 12g. I couldn't drop 3K for it - I don't love my shoulder than much (especially since I would have to sell my left nut to afford it).

chitoryu12...you are right. The full auto shotgun is not a new idea. The USAS 12 is probably the most well known of the full auto 12 gauge weapons. That weapon has been around since the 80's.

There are semiauto shotguns on the market that will cycle faster than these "military" full autos. The Beretta Exterma 2 is one of my favourites...and you can actually own it.
