Okay, so you're living in a big city apartment. A local factory has had a dangerous chemical and still very mmuch alive 'rager' zombies are roaming. They mess with the factory, and the chemicals kill or turn some more sensitive people before they spill into the streets. The military sets up a quarantine and government orders evacuation (with a medical check at the military's quaratine line.) You go, but find that zombies are running wil around the city, and they are hard to kill because of adrenaline (they take a while to finally die after you mortally wound them.) They break the quarantine, the chemicals spill into the streets, and zombie bites cause infection because the chemicals are in their teeth, blood, etc, so you have to watch out. Now, you are trapped on a top floor apartment. You have barricaded it as best you can, and have gottten some nonperishable food and some water. You can carry one of the following weapons: FNP90 with a few loads, asorted pots and pans, a katana, your aunt's old 410 Winchester with about 20 shells, and a big hammer. you have to get out, but the building is full of zombies, what do you do? (Hint: ceiling is quite weak.) Do you find this valuable?

.........really?Okay, some questions: 1. How much ammo do I have for the P90? 2. Where is this apartment? How far would I have to go to get away from civilization? 3. How many zombies are there? How many are on my floor, in my hallway, on other floors? 4. Why can I only carry one weapon? 5. How much food and water do I have? How long could I survive just sitting there, and in what form is this food and water? I could probably think of a lot more questions. Do you find this valuable? |

Get to roof and either find a way to repel down or signal for military help. otherwise, just wait it out on roof with supplies and the p90. the p90 is a great weapon for unarmored threats because even though it pierces some kevlar, even the thinnest ballistic plate will stop it: the p90 is not a plate cracker and the round is just barely better than a pistol round. The thing that makes it a crackerjack weapon is the shoulder fired stability and ammo capacity. They're deadly accurate in close to mid range. With military version you've got fifty rounds per mag, better than the thirty or less in almost anything else. However, I've heard that those helical mags can get fumbly in the exchange, so be aware. Maybe rig up the 410 as a booby trap for when the door opens to buy some time and warning.

".........really?You can only carry one weapon because you are carrying a lot of other stuff. You have just a couple full reloads for the P90. You have enough food and water to survive for two-three weeks, depending on how you ration it. Food is canned and water is bottled. An unknown but enormous number of zombies are in the city. On your floor, about thirty. Do you find this valuable? |

Not bad, but what happens when some zombies find their way onto your roof? Let's say you got down before that happened and tried to make your way out of the city. After another person or two gives their answer, I will give the next stage of my scenario.

Take the hammer and 410 and check the other apartments to see if other people are there. Have everyone gather their supplies and use the hammer to open doors that are locked and don't respond. Use some doors to barricade the stairs, and elevator doorways. Hand over the 410 and ammo. to some one with experience with guns that doesn't have one. Put sheets with HELP MESSAGES on the windows. Work together as a group to stock up as much water as we can and everyone move into one apartment. Hold out a couple of weeks to see if the military can handle the situation or rescue us. If no aid or the military can't stop the outbreak, prepare bags to carry as much as possible, try to find a couple of vehicles and get the Hell out. Do you find this valuable? |

Good point about vaugeness. You are carrying food and water, the above listed are the only weapons you have. _ Junk Collector, you got attacked by most of the zombies on your floor. You don't know if your infected, because you were only scrached, but the smell of zombie blood and the sound of the shotgun has more of the zombies in your building running up. You sure you got a good barricade. We'll see after we get one more reply. Please only one more person reply because I am trying to keep several stories going as the thread moves on. If one them dies/turns, new people can jump in the current scenario. Do you find this valuable? |

simple military tactics here, If your on the top floor the stair way is the best defense, its what known as a fatal funnel. Let them know your there and put a shell in there head in the narrow corridor of stair space as the approach (no amount of adrenaline with fix that) if you run low on ammo throw the pots and pans at their feet to try and trip em, Move in if the fall and snap the spinal column with the ever useful boot your wearing. run out of that? Your still of stairs! Stand off to the side and use the blunt side of that Kitana (to save the edge for more open conflicts) and as the head breaks the plane of the rails, BATTER UP!!! Swing as hard as you can and either aim for the back of the neck of on top of the skull. once satisfied its safe enough, head down a floor at a time P90 at the ready and pray your head shot game is on, since a 9mm round can not shatter the pelvic region to immobilize him (on that note find a higher caliber riffle ASAP and make the p90 a secondary) Once out side head away from large populated areas and stay close to cover or Hiding areas. As I live in the top floor of an apartment in the D.C. Metro Area these are plans If thought of. Personally once out of the complex Ill be traversing out of the Metro area via the massive storm drainage and sewer tunnels. all of it is also a fatal funnel to make defense easy, and less chances of being seen, flanked, ect. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Okay, so zombieslaughterer unforntunately died trying to jump from roof to roof ( or maybe while seeking survivers?) but the other three lived. So first, Phoenixavengerguy, you climb down off the roof, getting a few cuts and bruises in the process, now you are in the street, you have to get out FAST do you try to steal a car, get in your car (which is old and not in good shape) or just run a good base or what? Next, Junk Collector, half of your group dies, but you kill all the zombies. You don't get rescued for the next few days, so you get you vehicles and make the dangerous drive to the military quarantine line. When you arrive, you find the military has been slaughtered by zombie hordes. Everythin is wrecked, and only a few survivers are there, huddled in small, cramped hiding places with a weapon and some food. Zombies are ransacking the buidlings and running around all over, jumping over your car and scaring you, but not really paying you any attention. Some of the other car get broken into and some of your people eaten. Tons of military weapons, nonperishable provisions, and advanced medical supplies are lying around. Should you risk scavenging, try to drive through, or run back into the city and do something else? (Remember you are worried about your sratch. Finally, Zombie Bob, you kill all the zombies in your building, now what, hit the road, stay there, gather survivers? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Oh Timber you and you cheeky shenanigans.Okay, well I only wanted one more person to post their answer, but that's fine. I'll take you too. You are there for a while, but zombies are breaking your barricades quite easily and frequently now (you use duct tape and super glue to fix them) and you are getting low on supplies (food water, ammo.) The TV told you not to panic but the military base was destroyed. Also, TV no longer works because your satalite/cable/local digital TV stations were destroyed. What now? Do you find this valuable? |

Okay, so while we wait for the others to answer part two of their stories, I'll move on with yours. You go down into the sewers and find that the chemicals are in there, and staying any longer could result in infection, you have to get out fast, so you find a good place to get out. where? Right next to wal-mart perhaps, or a gun store? Take into account that these places ar likely to have survivers in them already, which means less left for you, more chance of conflict, and also zombies, but not gathering supplies or going to a lower quality place means another stop soon, and you're still on your own.
